Cake imitates art imitates life

So… one brick is like half a normal cake?  Now you tell me!

Awesome artist Agnes Niewiadomski, opened her show at the lab last week with an incredible wall of cake, that looks like her textile installation, that looks like a brick wall.

Agnes and James made these kick-ass regulation-brick-sized custom cake pans at the lab out of aluminum, cut and bent on the brake-shear and pop-riveted together.  Agnes then baked the equivalent of… a lot of cakes (16 hours) to fab cake bricks to form this masterpiece.  Check out James’ post for more pics and don’t miss this time-lapse of the wall assembly.

Well done, makers.
